Versys 1000 test ride competition winner announced

A rider from Londonderry, Ireland, has won the free draw conducted as part of the recent Versys 1000 test ride promotion across UK Kawasaki dealerships.

With over thirty years motorcycling experience, David Mcquiston currently rides a Versys 650 which he has owned for two years and uses for both work and leisure.

Now, as a result of test riding the new Versys 1000 at his local dealer, David now has the ultimate touring pack consisting of an Arai helmet, Kriega luggage, a Garmin sat-nav plus Kawasaki's own brand of Ventoux touring jacket & trousers, some Kawasaki biking underwear and £500 in hotel vouchers.

Asked what he enjoyed most about the new across the frame, four-cylinder Versys 1000, David said:

“The Versys 1000 is a fantastic bike.  I was impressed with the smoothness of the engine and the power delivery as well as the comfort.  In some ways it is very similar in looks to my Versys 650 which is great. It's a lovely bike and feels like a great all-rounder.

Now that David is the process of unpacking his prizes, like many Versys owners, he is planning his next journey.

“I might take a ferry across to Scotland and tour around the western highlands. A Versys is the right bike and now I have the equipment for it, plus, with my hotel vouchers, I can afford to hire a log cabin as my base, what could be better!”
